[ABOUT ME]

Hey I'm Nat 👋

My mum and dad wanted a lawyer. I got as far as the training contract then walked away to do art instead.

So now I'm a freelance photographer and videographer. And on the side, I run events helping other creatives break into the industry, mostly because I had to figure that out the hard way myself, in Manchester, with no experience and no connections.

Oh, and I act a bit too. For fun.

Previously worked with: CUPRA, Syntho, Rise Festival, Jubel, Love Raw, Meta Stat (Steven Bartlett-backed), Lightbulb Media, Reform Radio, Alliance, Tesco, Further Works, and HEADS Creative.

[MANCHESTER CREATIVE COUNCIL]

MCC is a passion project I co-founded with a friend. After moving into the creative industry from a background in law, I know first-hand how daunting it is to start over somewhere new, with no contacts and no experience to lean on. So we built MCC to make that path a little easier for the next person.

Outside of our creative events, we're taking on projects across Manchester for the people of the city, starting with the Manchester Homeless Art Trail, sponsored by Bruntwood.

More Than Creatives: our first event series, run in partnership with Butterfly Future and guided by therapist Kwesi. We do one event a month, so far 5 free evenings for creatives and freelancers, exploring the honest, rarely-talked-about side of creative life: rejection, money, communication, confidence etc.

Handwritten feedback from an attendee

Rejection

10 March 2026 · Sister Manchester

The one that started it all. We dug into something every creative knows too well, the unanswered emails, the "no"s, the opportunities that go to someone else and how to build resilience without letting it harden you.

Money & The Mask

22 April 2026 · Sister Manchester

Rewriting your relationship with money as a creative. We looked at the mask so many of us wear: confident, booked, thriving even when our money story says something very different, and started unpicking the patterns underneath. Sponsored by Variety Mode.

The Art of Communication

26 May 2026 · Sister Manchester

Communication as a craft: tone, timing, delivery, and the gap between what we mean and what we actually manage to say. We explored where we hold back or overperform, and how to express ourselves with more honesty and intention.

Shame & Self

16 June 2026 · Sister Manchester

This one explored the marks we carry that others can't see. We looked at how shame shapes identity and behaviour, and built tools for self-awareness and emotional honesty.

Confidence

28 July 2026 · Sister Manchester

Confidence to pitch, price and present yourself. A real turning point for the series: we ended the night with people pitching their own businesses to the room, and attendees left saying they felt genuinely more confident than when they walked in.
